Is your child acting out in school? Throwing tantrums at home? Withdrawing from social experiences? No matter how your child is behaving, their behavior can give you information about their needs. If you are concerned about your child's behavior at school or home it may be a good idea to discuss a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) with your child's IEP team. This assessment can give insight in to why your child behaves in certain ways and can help the IEP team come up with a plan to teach more appropriate behaviors that meet those same needs.
